Sheer Greatness

One trend that's delightfully popping up is sheer material. Tops, bottoms, dresses, jumpsuits... how do turn see-through clothing into something classy? As long as the major parts are covered, and the material doesn't look cheap, you've got yourself a winner. Here are some of my favorite looks:

Would I wear any of this? I would want to. As with most of the things I love, you have to have the confidence to pull it off as well. Unless it's all one piece, try to pair the sheer item with a tasteful opaque piece. Mix, match, and have fun!

Disney Inspired

Halloween is coming up and it's one of the most fun times of the year when it comes to dressing up. It's the day that you can be whoever you want, any person, any character.

But sometimes, you can be a subtle version of your favorite character, taking inspiration from their outfits to create a daily look for yourself.

Some of the most popular looks to get ideas from happen to be Disney characters. Take a look at these and ask yourself, would you really wear any of these?

Blazer Days

I feel like one of the most confusing times of the year is this current transition from autumn to winter.  One day, it's 80 degrees because summer still doesn't want to let go, and the next, it's 30, because winter wants to give a warning that it's coming. Sometimes, you can't figure out whether you should wear shorts or a winter coat, a headband or earmuffs.

However, those in-between times are some of the greatest- the 58-73 degree weather when it's too hot to wear a full coat, but too cold to wear bare arms.... so what do you do?

You can wear a cool hoodie or a nice, light jacket, but I think autumn is perfect blazer season.

Blazers can dress anything up, from a plain skirt to jeans. They come in a variety of colors and fabrics and can give you relief during this WTF weather. Want some ideas on how to wear a blazer? Read on...

Gray blazer and light pink skirt
Wear a lighter colored blazer with more feminine colors to go on a stroll with your significant other.

Throw a blazer over a t-shirt and rolled jeans or even over leggings if you want to look chic, yet stay comfortable!

Night Out:
Blazer and Dress
For a night out without getting too cold, put a blazer over your favorite dress!

Mix and match colors, patterns, fabrics... anything! When it comes to blazers, do what makes you happy and fits your style.

Leather Loving Lady

Although I love to research fashion trends and see what exciting things designers say that's 'in' for a certain season, I usually am the ultimate one to decide what I like and what I want to wear. Something that will never go out of style for me is leather!

Whether in jacket or jewelry form, I love the leather look. It toughens any outfit up and is just a classic staple to my wardrobe.

Luckily for me, the leather jacket is definitely timeless, and it seems that leather just won't go out of style. If you don't already, here are a few ways you can add leather to your look.

Pokerun Marylin Leather Jacket
While a simple leather jacket will probably never go out of style, some extra embellishments some as ribbed sleeves or extra studs might. Throw a leather jacket over any outfit to instantly toughen it up and add some edge!

If you're not comfortable with wearing completely leather pants, get some leggings with leather trim.

Burdastyle Leather Shorts

Pair some leather shorts with a more feminine shirt to create a softer, more glamorous look.

Tory Burch Bag
Boots I definitely want!
Leather Boots
Boots do almost the same thing a leather jacket does. Wear them with a skirt or over skinny jeans to bad-ass your look. Leather handbags add a simple clean look to your entire outfit. As with all leather pieces, don't shy away from color. Try things out your comfort zone every once in a while!

Color Blocking

One trend that I've always enjoyed whether in fashion or even interior design is color blocking. It basically is what it says, solid blocks of color to create one harmonious unit.

Here's an example:

Jennifer Lawrence wore this purple and orange Gucci dress for the cover of Flare magazine. The solid colors are vibrant and work well together along with the shiny fabric. The golden belt breaks the two colors up, but in a way that mutually brings them together.

Try color blocking using not only your top and bottom, but also accessories and shoes. It's easy to get this great trend down, just practice and be confident.
